Abstract | Delayed sternal closure (DSC) has been shown to be useful following cardiac surgeries in case of indications including hemodynamic instability, noticeable myocardial edema, respiratory compromise, stubborn bleeding, placement of extracorporeal support device,and persistent arrhythmias.
