AbstractContext: As global temperatures continue to rise, the threat of heatstroke is becoming increasingly prevalent. This article addresses the critical issue of heatstroke management in religious mass gatherings, especially during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, focusing on the development and implementation of effective strategies for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Evidence Acquisition: Our search was conducted in journals and electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, SID, Iran Medex, and Google Scholar, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. Results: Heatstroke is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body’s core temperature reaches dangerously high levels, usually over 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius). This is a medical emergency requiring immediate attention and can have severe consequences if not managed effectively. In recent years, there has been an increasing focus on developing strategies to more effectively prevent, identify, and treat heatstroke. Prevention involves implementing measures to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses. Symptoms may include high body temperature, tachycardia, headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion, and even loss of consciousness. If someone exhibits these symptoms, it is essential to move them to a cooler environment, remove excess clothing, and provide cool fluids if they are conscious and able to drink. Emergency medical services should be called immediately for further evaluation and treatment. Conclusions: Effective management of heatstroke requires a multifaceted approach, encompassing prevention, recognition, and prompt treatment. By implementing preventive measures, raising awareness, and ensuring timely intervention, nurses can play a critical role in significantly reducing the incidence and severity of heatstroke.en
