AbstractFamilial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an autosomal disorder that causes severe elevations in total cholesterol and low- density lipoprotein. FH is one of the primary risk factors for premature coronary artery disease in children and adults which requires early diagnosis and appropriate medical intervention.
