Toxoplasmosis in a Patient with HIV: A Case Report

Abstract

Introduction: Toxoplasma gondii is one of the most frequent infectious parasites distributed worldwide. Case Presentation: A 26-year-old male patient was diagnosed as HIV positive. Finally, immunological and biological studies showed increased neutrophils count, increased C-reactive protein and positive Toxo-IgG. Conclusions: It seems that checking the level of Toxo-IgG in patients with HIV infection is needed and in case of uncertainty, the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will be helpful.
