Abstract | Background: Approximately 80 to 90 percent of women will experience a urinary tract infection at least once in their lifetime. 2 to 11 of them, in first pregnancy Trimester are affected, which, if untreated, leads to the maternal and fetal risks. Screening for urinary infection, is considered part of prenatal care.
