| Abstract | Background: Refractive error is a common abnormality and the most common refractive error is myopia. Objectives: The aim of this study was To Comparison of rate of myopia among carpet weaver and non-weaver members. Methods: In this case- control study, all members of the weavers have been refracted objectively and subjectively by only one person. Results: The relative frequency of moderate and severe myopia in carpet weaving significantly more than non-weavers (P < 0.001). The result of Variance Analysis (ANOVA) showed that by increasing the average duration of employment and working hours daily in carpets, Myopia significantly more. Conclusions: Sustained close distance working could have an effective role in progression and amount of myopia. | en |
