Prevalence of thrombocytopenia and its relation to bacterial sepsis in patients who admitted to the intensive care unit of a teaching hospital in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, ‎2012-2014‎

Abstract

Introduction: Thrombocytopenia is a common disorder in patients who admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) that has been showed as a bad prognostic factor for mortality and has a various causes. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of thrombocytopenia and its relation to bacterial sepsis as one of causes of this disorder in patients who admitted to the ICU.
