AbstractIntroduction: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common problem and might cause by lots of diseases. In this way, more than 50% of Iranian women give birth via C-section and previous studies demonstrated that abnormal bleeding could be an adverse effect of caesarean section. The aim of this study was to compare the incidence and causes of abnormal uterine bleeding patterns in women with a history of caesarean section versus vaginal delivery. Materials and Methods: Three hundred patients were entered the study in Amir Almomenin hospital (Semnan, Iran). The method of sampling was simple. For each person, a questionnaire including demographic characteristics, AUB questions, physical examination and physical examination, and the causes of AUB, were completed based on paraclinical measures including laboratory tests, Pap smear, transvaginal sonography and sonohistrography.
