AbstractBakhtishu’ Dynasty is among the greatest of Jundishapur dynasties known for their knowledge-seeking. Six generations of this dynasty taught and offered services in medical treatment. Their expertise made Abbasid caliphs employ them for their own medical treatment, as well as translation and writing on sciences especially medicine. They had an impact on medicine in Islamic civilization. It is theoretical with a descriptive analytical approach. Research shows that Bakhtishu’ Dynasti proved efficient as physicians for the Abbasid caliphs. The latter group wrote and translated valuable books. Their academic and practical activities in different branches of medicine, over several centuries, made them the academic inheritors of Jondi Shapour University, connecting ancient medicine to Islamic medicine.en
