AbstractBackground: End stage renal disease or ESRD is a progressive and irreversible deterioration in renal function in which the body loses ability to maintain metabolical balance, fluid and electrolytes. Glutathione s-transfrases (GSTs) are members of multigenic family which have essential role as an antioxidant in the cells. In this study, the polymorphism of GST, T1, M1 & P in ESRD patients were compared with those of control groups to determine the possible relationship between polymorphism of these enzymes and ESRD.en
