The Effect of Exercise During Maternal Pregnancy on the Modulation of NR2B Gene Expression in the Brain of Newborn Rats

Abstract

Background: So far, many studies have investigated the effect of exercise on various aspects of physical and mental health. On the other hand, N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors have been introduced as one of the important pathways involved in multiple behavioral functions. Also, during the embryonic period, some brain areas express N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B (NR2B), which is one of the NMDA subunits, in large amounts.
