| Abstract | The Turkish Armed Forces have played a key role in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since 2002. Medical services provided in Afghanistan are structured as a multinational health care operation so as maximize the efficient use of resources. The medical services provided by the Turkish Armed Forces in Afghanistan are at Role 2 and are for the benefit of the Afghan people as well as of ISAF personnel.
