AbstractThe Turkish Armed Forces have played a key role in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since 2002. Medical services provided in Afghanistan are structured as a multinational health care operation so as maximize the efficient use of resources. The medical services provided by the Turkish Armed Forces in Afghanistan are at Role 2 and are for the benefit of the Afghan people as well as of ISAF personnel. This article sets out the medical experiences of the Turkish Armed Forces and the projects during 2008 and 2009.en
