Abstract | Some says that: please dont take MRI till 2 years after surgery for disc because there are pitfalls to differentiate new or recurrent hernia from scar formation even by GD+MRI. Surgical Need is a Clinical, not an Imaging Decision. Scar versus treatable entities is a problem, they are: residual or recurrent herniation and spinal canal stenosis. : - By non-contrasted CT there is 43% - 60% rate of diagnosis. : - By contrasted CT rate is 70% - 83% : - By contrasted MRI, diagnostic rate is 96% - 100% : - Arachnoiditis occur in 5% of post-op. patients. | en |
