Abstract | Background: Beta thalassemia is one of the most important disorders in our country. General awareness is the most preventive step. Objective: To evaluate the effect of an educational session containing lectures, booklets and videotape on the knowledge of high school students. Methods: A total number of 405 high school students (Females (67.2%) and males (32.8%)) were randomly selected and asked to complete a questionnaire before and two weeks after an educational session.
