AbstractBackground: Portal Vein Thrombosis (PVT) during pregnancy is very rare. Its most common underlying causes are myeloproliferative disorders, pancreatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma and hereditary deficiency of natural anticoagulants (thrombophilia). Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common gastrointestinal malignancies which is caused by toxins, alcohol and hepatitis viruses. Viral hepatitis is the cause of one-third of this carcinoma in China and Asia.en
