AbstractIntroduction: Students are important community members and their social and psychological well-being is of high value for the community. Social and psychological capital as an important factor can help students to achieve academic progress. This research was carried out with the aim of investigating the relationship between social and psychological capital and academic achievement of students of Semnan University of Medical Sciences. Materials and Methods: This was an applied study that was conducted on 400 students of Semnan University of Medical Sciences (2016-2017, Semnan, Iran). Data collection tools were Oniks and Bollen social capital and Luthanz psychological capital questionnaires. Results: The results of the research showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between students;#39 psychological and social capital (r = 0.41, p = 0.001).
