Abstract | Background: Preterm birth and low birth weight are important causes of mortality in infants Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between bacterial vaginosis with low birth weight and PROM. Methods: This analytic study was performed on vaginal discharge of 751 pregnant women in 23-26 weeks between 1387 to 1389 years in Qazvin health centers.The method of cluster samples were selected. Samples are analayzed with Nuget method. Data were evaluated with chi-square test. Findings: results showed that they were 734 (97.7%) negative test of bacterial vaginosis and 17 (2.3%) case were positive. Migration due to a number of people it was not possible to check the delivery status . Of 697 patients with negative bacterial vaginosis, 72 of whom (10.3%) had PROM, and in other group four cases (23.5%) had PROM . This difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The significant difference did not exist between bacterial vaginosis and preterm delivery and LBW. | en |
